KFX-Indonesian Variant

Okay.. hmm

Say hello to the Possible look of Indonesian Airforce's new fighter.. from our cooperation with Korea Aviation/ or Aeronautics perhaps.. sorry haven't googled it during making.

Well the KFX depicted above is ONE AMONG SOME possible concept of the KFX.

Oh and i apologize that i made mistake .. the concept above are based on KAI's own vision.. not with Mc Donnel Douglas Boeing.

Currently, as far as i know there are 2 different kind of concepts.

First is the original Korean concept, the KFX-201 with delta canard configuration, and KFX-101 more conventional tail-wing configuration.

The KFX-201 seemed used as a "promotion", thanks to its novel delta canard configuration which was never seen (except recently unveiled J-20)on fighters claiming "low RADAR observability" as feature.

However Korean military seems favor the more conventional thus low risk KFX-101, which early configuration looks pretty much like F-22 but with circular exhaust.

The KFX-101 concept seems likely the one which will be chosen as ultimate configuration.

Recently we have European Eurofighter Consortium offering cooperation, possibly in engine (EJ-2000) and RADAR Technology (based on CAESAR perhaps).

The Eurofighter consortium was also offered their own "vision" of KF-X, similar as Korean concept but feature single vertical stabilizer instead of double canted one.

Well can't say much about performance since currently there are NOT enough hard data related to this fighter.

So i can only present pictures here.

According to the news however .. this fighter will be "between F-16 and F-35".. but according to the article above the performance goal for the KFX is between F-16 and F-15... suggesting F-18 like performance and perhaps cardinal parameters such as weight, and engine in a class of GE-F-414 type.

Avionics suite are locally developed with cooperation between Samsung and Thales, RADAR's will likely be AESA type of undisclosed antenna size and elements count. However i speculate the power aperture product would be slightly higher than APG-80 or other latest F-16 RADAR's (the SABR and RACR).

Well anyway ... i haven't seen any KFX layout with Indonesian scheme.. hopefully I AM TEH FIRST TO DEPICT IT .

Afterall our country has 20% part in the project hehehe.
